A highlight of West Long Branch is Monmouth University, a four-year private university on a 155-acre campus established in 1933. It currently has 5,600 students and 232 full-time faculties. The campus is notable for Wilson Hall, a National Historic Landmark that was used in the 1982 film Annie.
